This Season

Edit: Just watched an episode of Poketoon: Facing Tomorrow with Gardevoir.

It is very wholesome and cute. I enjoyed it.

Now I've got to check the rest of the episodes out.

Past Seasons

I completed The Promised Neverland last week.

That one's so good!

Now that I have watched it, I totally get the high praises for it. It's without a doubt a 10 / 10.

Edit: To elaborate, what I like so much about this show is the interpersonal dynamics. I can't recall the exact saying but there's one that goes something like: "If you put three persons with competing interests in a room, you'd get politics". That's essentially what happens throughout the show. We saw how Prisoners' Dilemma play out multiple times.

With the above in mind, I love the ending.

I like how

The Promised Neverland spoiler

the player with maximum cooperativeness, Emma, got the greatest payoff: the ending in which many of the kids escaped (and argually, this "reward" doesn't even benefit her directly!)

I like justice / fairness. It is very gratifying to see villains get an appropriate comeuppance, but so is seeing a saint - like Emma - getting the outcome she deserves.

I remember seeing a Lemmy post about kind people getting taken advantage of in this world, but it need not be this way. We can see how Emma's kindness is infectious. It's possible to uplift each other.

Finally, not sure if that was the intention, but it felt like one of its messages is to stop eating meat.

I guess the next step is to pick up the manga?

I am also halfway through Yuru Camp.

Nothing is happening, but I am somehow still enjoying it. I guess it's because the girls - especially Nadeshiko - are cute.

Wait, you watched and enjoyed The Promised Neverland season 2? Or just the first one? Because those were very different experiences.

Ah, that makes far more sense.

I suggest picking up the manga from where the first season ended if you want to continue on with the story. Season 2 has a lot of changes that weren't good and disappointed a lot of fans. The manga kind of has its own problems too IMO but it's a better experience overall.

from where the first season ended

Which chapter is that?

Around Vol. 5, Chapter 35 onward
