Besides it starts with ship detecting 2 gnosias but later on there is no way of telling if there is one or two. It makes no sense...
Same with ship not being able to tell who is an engineer but still give correct access. Even if it didn't know at first it means at least it could be confirmed once the engineer used it's credential.

I will watch next episode but it's likely I will drop it.

That's why I find the ship itself most suspicious. The events happening appear to have been orchestrated by it.
