When I was at uni (UK) we would never put our names on assignments. Everything was done by student number (I think the official term was something like "matriculation ID").
i.e. in this instance the professor wouldn't know whose paper this was
So every student becomes Student What's Their Nuts
When discussing their students with faculty, would professors would call them deez nuts?
diz nuts, dat nuts, deez nuts, doze nuts over dere
In Germany, we put both name and MNr (Matrikelnummer) on everything. As a tutor, I once had 2 students with the same first and last name and they happened to have my first name which confused me even more
We mainly had non-summative assignments, so those had names on. Exams were all done by student-number, with a fold-down section where you wrote and signed your name.
Until you get to student#"5318008"
