Mullvad's search engine ( leta(dot)mullvad(dot) net ).
Due to g••gle messing internally with their stuff to make metasearch engines like my preferred Searx engines a lot more worse by throwing everything unrelated and also me always making sure whatever browser I use is in private mode so I don't have to clear anything like cookies or browser history, I find it so much easier to just use them.
Also, Wikipedia. Specifically for anything like looking to see what license a software might be under, a link to said software, or maybe where a company is located. Makes my life so much easier. When I get a job in the future, I am absolutely gonna send them monthly donations.
Some Searx engines have mullvad's search engine as an available source.
Oh neat, I'll have to swap searx to use it!
My problem is that, last I checked, Searx(dot)be don't have that turned on as a default and after a while I got tired of going into preferences and changing everything every time I open the browser. Especially when I'm clearing sire data and cookies every time I close the browser.
I am absolutely gonna set up my own instance in the future to solve this problem when I can, but until then I'll end up sticking with the next best thing I can think of, which is Mullvad.
I have the "URL to restore your preferences in another browser" bookmarked for easy access. I wish Firefox can handle that when adding a custom search engine, but this is good enough.
