It was a joke.
If the democrats cared about womens rights they would have run a better fucking campaign. They would have listened to their voting base instead of their fucking donors. If democrats keep appealing to the right one day your life will be a purity test too and unless you grow a goddamn spine they're gonna keep doing it

If the voters cared about woman's rights, they'd vote for democrats. It's not on the party to play games. They put out their platform, they have a given reputation. People vote for what they want. Americans didn't vote enough for democrats, so they don't get that platform, they get the other one. It's how it's supposed to work.
Democrats listen to their donors so they keep having donors - that way they can continue to operate.
As much as it should be, this isn't the main issue people base their vote on. So no, I'm not sure that would have won it for them. They may have gained some votes, but they also would have lost votes.
It isn't that simple, as appealing as that might seem.
They certainly would have lost yours and trump would have gained yours.
