For the cookies, Consent-o-matic could help with that. It doesn't work on all pages, but it speeds things up.

I've always wondered about cookie consent. After arriving at a website, are the cookies in suspended animation until you click 'reject' or 'accept'. It would seem that session cookies can't help but already be on your HDD, however, 3rd party cookies might not be until you click 'accept' or pick and choose which ones you want to keep. I've never really done in depth research on cookies on my HDD. I have 'Strict' and 'Max Protection' settings in Firefox, and I use Cookie AutoDelete set to delete all cookies after 1 sec. This might be an exercise to explore on my network.
