My idea of a good walk is weather cool enough to wear jeans and combat boots, and a fight to get through the forest and find new spots on the creek, or new spots in general. Huge bonus if I get some wildlife in my sights. Saw a black bear momma with two cubs last winter!
I'm at maximum peace when I crawl out, safe and sound, about to drop dead and thank god I'm still alive, hydrated, and didn't get hurt or stuck overnight.
My wife likes your sort of walk, and I would too, now and again. We walk around the hood, far more boring than your walks. :)
