He is the type of black liberal that might have black libratory messages (ignoring his history with blk women) but that libratory message is just a selection of black people "clap back at white people", "getting their bag" and "fighting white supremacy" by becoming successful white supremacists lol
Similar to Shonda which created Queen Charlotte/Bridgerton he is part of the black assimilations cultural push that seeks to reconcile and give a place for black americans (their solidarity ends at the border) within reigns of the empire.
Does he have a bad history there?
