White supremacists used irony in a way that broke peoples brains about it. We get you're in the anti-nazi camp that's great! So are you doing anything about it or just posting?
By allowing Nazis to coopt sarcasm, you've just given up cultural territory to the Nazis. Not everyone gets sarcasm, that's okay, but don't let Nazis set the tone of our interactions on the left
No, I really want people to use /s tag. But people don't like it when I bring it up. They either thinks it ruins the fun or that because it's a self-adopt thing that it's doomed to failure. Ya know, like how languages change. A thing that happens constantly.
Tone indicators don't need to be used to excess, but using the sarcasm tag when you're pretending to be horrible just saves everyone the headache of trying to guess if you're being serious or not.
I get it, I'll try to be more conscious about it myself.
