What’s the deal with your “th”s?
That's how that user types all of their posts. It's really fucking annoying. They get called out on it a lot, downvoted for it, and just keep doing it for some reason.
This piqued my curiosity, and it turns out that Þ is an obsolete Old and Middle English letter, which was pronounced almost like th.
There’s a subreddit called BringBackThorn, with the description below. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a similar trend on the Fediverse.

Thank you, I got to the same conclusion. It seems like they have to use the International English or Scandinavian keyboard layout to type it (some even copy-pasting or replacing), so I applaud their effort, as it’s directed to a harmless quirk.
