I imagine it has the same effect as when animals use wild colours to deter predators. Except it's the reverse and instead an easy sign he's a predator.
It's a selection filter for the exact sort of woman who would tolerate Alex Jones.
I imagine that filter is a whitelist with every woman with a shred of self respect, then.
