How can you tell who downvoted you?
Votes on Lemmy are public, mods have easy access afaik but there are sites that let anyone see who voted what on any given post or comment.
One way to tell is https://lemvotes.org/
On the one hand that’s interesting; on the other hand that could drive me nuts…
I really only check when I think somebody has engaged in the extremely poor behavior of responding to my comment and also downvoting. Actually, most of my comments don't get any downvotes.
I'm hoping that by embarrassing people who do this, they'll be less likely to do it in the future. If most of Lemmy agreed to condemn this behavior, then it will improve the platform. But as you can see from the votes in this thread, there are A LOT of people who absolutely don't give a shit about the quality of discussion on the platform.
I think you're engaging in extremely poor behaviour by whining about downvotes.
I will never tire of piling downvotes onto someone complaining about the tiniest and least important criticism of what they've said.
Get a grip. Have some perspective.
