Pointing out hypocrisy is not usually for the benefit of the hypocrite, it’s for the benefit of everyone else.
But we know and it just seems like an excuse to not talk about solutions at this point.
Comrade, organizing online is fraught in the best of times but I think people are hyper aware of the risks of talking about these things online right now.
Dude the wife and I like talking long bike rides without our phones, the only electronics on us our lights and our motors. Get in some good conversations outside the city limits once it's quiet and we don't have to worry about blocking the tractor that comes by hourly (only traffic on that road) at 10mph, which we can both do without our motors.
Okay and I get that, but the hypocrisy thing just feels tedious. Like someone's trying very hard to miss what they're even doing when they make phonemes.
I say this with kindness: what do your comments add to the discussion? Sometimes people just want to vent. It's cool. Just scroll past.
Why didn't I scroll past your comment? Because I thought it might be useful to remind people to shut the fuck up.
Shutting the fuck up is pretty great if you have literally any idea what to do. I'm not anti shut-the-fuck-up. It's a really great solution for a lot of people. The best, even.
I think i am also entitled to vent. Hearing libs shout about hypocrisy then aggressively shout down even the most mild plan of 'okay but personally ask them to stop' is pretty frustrating.
Shut the fuck up refers to talking to cops or even about your activities/plans in public. I wasn't saying you can't vent.
I am aware, that's why i praised it! I was hoping more to provoke thought than discussion. I figure most people still complaining about hypocrisy need encouragement more than caution right now. They need to understand cops are not god and statist 'laws' are not remotely the same kind of thing as physical 'laws' before they can actually practice caution especially for more moderate actions that might occur to them, like boycotts and stuff.
Except for the passive space laser made of a single giant lense. That I would like discussed because it would be cool but I don't actually know if it would work.
Who's stopping you from talking about Solutions?
Not knowing shit about signal electrowhatever or guns, which seem like the two bodies of knowledge a solution would come from.

Now me, I learned four disciplines where depreciation means something different in each of them. They all speak the same base language, but they all use so much godsdamned jargon and so many of the jargon words across disciplines are homonyms. I can hardly think straight anymore.
Ignorance and general powerlessness. Also he's all the way fuck over there and I'm not buying diapers and living off cash and MREs for a week while I piss jug my way across a couple thousand miles just to live out someone else's fantasy of being Gavrilo Príncip
