I got really into shibari at one point and it's really not necessarily about titillating. It's really quite cool and when you're doing it you almost can't think about sex. Too focused on nerve points and the knots.
How do nerve points come into the picture
You reaaaaalllly do not want to compress the wrong nerve for too long.
This, for the person doing the binding, there should be constant focus and attention as binding in the wrong way can cause nerve damage.
It's... Less sexy and more... Satisfaction with creating art, especially of turning your property (sub) into art - amplifying their objectification.
