Not sure "loads of money is spent on weapons" is necessarily uplifting news, but if you say-so
I mean, theyre defending their country from an all out assault. Would you rather they lay down and accept that the Russian government has decided they shouldn't exist? This is probably one of the few wars Ive seen in my lifetime that is morally the right thing to do to support them. The other being Palestine, but thats less a war and more a genocide... sigh
I'd rather a bloodless coup than a war, but obvs its probably more important than what the Ukrainians want.
Important to remember though that this isn't just Russia being dicks for no reason. My reading is that they're responding to NATO encroaching closer and closer, trying to get a defensive position while they still can.
Are you a bot? Please be a bot. If you're not a bot, you are woefully underinformed. If youre a Russian government shill, go fuck yourself.
I'm a woefully underinformed non-bot.
Nato isn't encroaching on russia, countries near russia are worried that russia would do what happened to Ukraine, that's why they are getting applying to NATO because of russias colonization ambitions
But they are so cost efficient! They are such great capitalists, and this could be an incredible investment opportunity!
Love how some people act as if cost-efficiency wouldn't have to exist on a non-capitalistic society. Or imply that a country who's literally fighting for its existence and peace only thinks about market capitalism or sth. 🙄
