I thought the murder of that senator would be more traumatic for them.
Knowing their M.O. of letting controlled psychopaths do what the state surveillance system is fully aware they are going to do, (see Charles Manson) the killing of those senators was likely a threat to the others. There’s a big difference between how the media reacts when it’s a guy with a church flock shooting two senators vs. a rando upper-middle class taking out an upper who harmed him.
The second implies the first rule of revolution: The system no longer functions for the bourgeois or proletariat.
Analyzing America as a bastard offspring of the UK class system- you can see clear, intentional splits between classes of proletariat. Luigi was inarguably upper-class US proletariat. If those guys are turning against the castle-dwellers, they’re fucked.
The plastic god is sensing how close it is to self-immolation. They will sacrifice anyone.
