A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.

A lot of people are saying Trump sent the hit. Is it a joke or do you actually think he might've?

Laura Loomer did say he stabbed Trump in the back like… two weeks ago or something

Not only that, but the embarrassment that was the birthday letter probably drove him to want to get attention off it as quickly as possible.

Also Trump is dying. He wants to cause as much hell as he can before he goes. The shitstorm this has done is really bad.

I think if you look at everything that his administration is doing, I definitely believe that they are trying to stir up enough shit to get people to lash out, and then they will declare martial law and then we will effectively have a new monarchy in the USA.

Do I really think that Trump would have someone killed just to change the national conversation? Of course he would, without any problem. However, I don't think Trump had him killed mostly because I don't think Trump is running the show. When I compare his first administration to his second, they are clearly not being run by the same people.

Trump is also obviously as bad off as Biden was at the end. He's a zombie puppet that gets dragged out for show.

Its a half-joke.

Kinda like "Bush did 9/11", it's possible, nothing is really out of the realm of possibility, but sometimes life just happens, you talk shit too much for too long and someone will have a problem with you.

I'm not saying they aren't capable of a a False Flag hit, after all they already did it once with the assassination hoax. I just doubt they'd hit their most successful and popular recruiter/indoctrinator. They really missed that position after Limbaugh assumed room temperature, and it looked like Ben Shapiro would be the one, then CK rose and took the spot. He was extremely valuable to the MAGA mission, and would have been for decades. Now they need to go to their bench and groom someone new.

OTOH, apparently he was demanding the release of the Epstein Files, and someone of his influence could cause a lot of trouble. Sure, he recruits a lot of new conservative voters, but that's not so important if you aren't planning on having any more elections.

So, maybe it was the MAGA Nazis, they certainly are capable of a lot worse. All I know is that whoever they arrest, and claims did it, is innocent, no matter what evidence they claim to have.
