Last week was the 80th anniversary of the end of World War 2, and on such an occasion, China put on quite an impressive military parade, especially in comparison to the rather drab and corporate parade that the USA recently had. In attendance were many world leaders, including Putin, Kim Jong Un, and a very happy-looking Lukashenko.
This took place shortly after the SCO summit in Tianjin, in which Modi was notably in attendance. That one of the world's most powerful fascists was in attendance in China near the anniversary of the World Antifascist War is obviously pretty ironic. Regardless, the mood was still relatively positive; for example, Xi announced the acceleration of the creation of the SCO development bank, and Indian-Chinese relations are once again in the thaw cycle of their long-term cyclical pattern, with direct flights resumed and links expanded. The fact that there is this much projected optimism from China about a Global South which is being increasingly tariffed, infiltrated, starved, looted, bombed, invaded, and massacred in the hundreds of thousands by rabid imperialist dogs is perhaps a little tone-deaf, but buoying up the SCO is better than doing nothing at all, I suppose.
Any astute Geopolitics Understander can tell you that this is certainly not India joining the side of the Global South, but instead a move somewhat forced upon them as they seek to balance both sides for their own gain. As Trump amps up pressure on India via tariffs, it is natural that India would seek leverage, and there is much that India gains: industrial development, increased intra-regional trade, and scientific knowledge from a China which has, in numerous fields, now pulled ahead of the USA. India is also facing numerous internal crises, ranging from run-of-the-mill capitalist incompetence and corruption, to worsening conditions for farmers, to the ravaging impacts of climate change, and increasing their links with China is a way to vent off a little of that pressure and protect Modi's regime.

He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

are they stabbed though? gulf states seem to configured themselves to accept any indignity happily, if it doesn't interfere with the flow of money, it's not important.
Yeah it's important that money keeps flowing, but also that the empire keeps its aggression outside the borders of the Gulf. The front reaching Qatar today and the US doing nothing to stop it is absolutely a backstabbing. The deal was always security and stability in exchange for complete capitulation to the empire in terms of sovereignty and open energy markets. Today, the US failed their part of the deal for the first time ever. The US previously saved Kuwait from Saddam Hussein's Iraq, they assisted Saudi Arabia in both Yemen and Bahrain, and they made sure that Gulf interests were unharmed during the Iraq-Iran War. Today, an American ally used American weapons with American approval, which breaks the foundation of this understanding between the Gulf and America

Im sorry but i’m blackpilled as fuck, as a shorthand mcdonalds expanded by 5% (by restaurant count, except in pakistan) in middle east, what level of solidarity or dignity people we are even imagining having, when mcnuggets are enough to overrule any decency in the countries most culturally close, in the middle-upper class, presumably educated as well.
Does the current Qatari political system have any capacity to resist or would it need a mass uprising?
The Qataris have an admirable flexibility and a willingness to test the limits of US blob in a way that other US-controlled states don't dare to do. Qatar agitated through Al Jazeera against US-supported governments in Egypt, Tunisia and numerous other Arab states during the Arab Spring and were instrumental in toppling a few. They have always been Iran's most important partner in the Gulf, and they maintain financial and logistical support networks for Muslim Brotherhood branches in all over the Muslim world, which of course angers the US and their favorite cucks in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Jerusalem. They have also refused full normalisation with Israel, still allow anti-imperialist dissent in the country, and directly criticise Israel every day through Al Jazeera. Al Jazeera is Qatar's most potent weapon, and any change in Qatar's direction will first be noticed in what Al Jazeera shows on its screens. I believe that Qatar is smart enough to realign themselves again outside the Saudi-UAE-Israeli Axis, just like they did in 2017 with the Gulf Crisis.
What do you think that looks like?

Financing MB branches in Egypt and accelerating dissent against Sisi's regime
Buying the loyalty of Jolani's freaks in Syria and making the new Syria a Qatari-Turkish outpost that could be used to harass Israel
Helping Iran evade sanctions more effectively by shipping to Iran from Qatar's ports
Cutting deals under the table to help finance Ansarallah institutions in Yemen
Sabotaging the American-Israeli-Saudi plan to disarm Hezbollah in Lebanon by financing Hezbollah and their allies
Selling more LNG to China and their allies instead of Europe and the US
Sabotaging Saudi's 2030 plan and their upcoming hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2034
