If Nigel Farage had died in that plane crash this genuinely wouldn't be happening. They have no beacon to organise around without Farage. There is nobody else with his ability to play the game.

You can all talk about great man theory this and that not being true sure but this shitbag has been forged through 45 years of experience as a successful crypto fascist and if he were gone there simply is no replacement but getting someone who has gone through that many years of experience as a crypto fascist again.

I am convinced that this movement would collapse without him. He is and always has been the lynchpin of the far right's access and influence in the mainstream.

Yeah there's that too. But the fact of the matter is that none of the other fascists have the ability to straddle the boundary between conservatism and fascism in a way that successfully convinces people it's not fascism.

All the others? They all fall into revealing themselves. Farage is teflon. He avoids being tarred with the fascist label extremely successfully, to the point that he left his own party when it had too many open fascists in it. And it collapsed the moment he left it as everyone recognised it as fascist.

He's fucking good at it. None of the others can do it. If he were dead right now none of this would be happening. These dickheads hanging flags would be getting correctly labelled as the same people who chanted EDL. He is the one making this movement avoid the fascism label and keeping it from being pushed to the fringe where it belongs.
