First of all, Russia has never been considered a western style government they have always had in eastern style government.
Second of all, you are denying there is a difference between countries that elect their leaders, and countries with an all-powerful ruler.

Do you think you have a pointer? Russia has always been an Eastern style government, even when they had the facade of elections. If you actually read any of my responses you would already know that. Just stroking off that outrage boner aren't you?

That's what it is, group trolling, trying to find any excuse to troll somebody for a purported infraction, not caring the truth of it. That is why everybody hates the PC brigades.
Listen, I'll bring the tone down a notch. I hear your concerns about military power. While it's valid to be wary of its domestic use, the characterization of Eastern citizens as "obedient slaves" is an unfair and harmful stereotype. Billions of people live full, free, and autonomous lives under various governments. We can debate policy without relying on racist tropes that misrepresent entire cultures.
That is not what I fucking said. And I explained that's not what I said. I said trying to turn us into obedient slaves. Trying to turn us into an Eastern style government. Two separate points. But in regards to China it would not be all that incorrect anyway. The factory workers in China do 6-12s, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. No job protections, no benefits to speak of. If they get hurt there fucked. Many of them do not have residency in the city that they work in, which means they are illegal in their own country and can be jailed, beaten up, thrown out Uptown on a whim by employers and in the authorities. Now I know what you might say, they outlawed the 6-12s in China not long ago. But as Chinese workers have told us and has been published, the employers still forced them to work 6:12 and just pay them for less than that. Regardless the pay is starvation wages.
So you will excuse me if I stand up for myself against some PC Warriors trying to get offended on other people's behalf without fucking cause.
I hear your frustration, and you're right to be angry about worker exploitation; it's a global problem.
But focusing that anger solely on China, using it as a civilizational bogeyman, is the issue. It ignores that our own system creates similar misery. Amazon workers in the US pee in bottles to meet quotas, gig workers have zero benefits, and millions face medical bankruptcy. This isn't an "Eastern" problem.
By framing this as a unique moral failure of the East, you're reinforcing a racist stereotype that the West is inherently free and the East is inherently servile.
I never said anything specifically about China originally, you are the one that framed it like that incorrectly. Eastern style government refers to non liberal democracies as everybody who reads current and past events of the era knows. Which is not you guys.
If you want to talk about China, they are a whore of Western corporations, gaining our tech and getting their factories built by western capital to save those companies money by undercutting us on labor and environmental cost, while selling all of their citizens out to destitute servitude.
It also shows a lack of logic. Because Republicans make bad faith attacks on china, all attacks on China are Republican in bad faith. It happens over and over on every subject.
The Republicans attack a federal agency that is failing, because they want to make them worse, and the Democrats and their sheep defend everything about that agency and not just the bad faith parts. You should do better you are not helping you are making things worse.

I thought y'all were the PC brigade. But as I explained multiple times, eastern governments historically is in reference to the near East as well as North Africa and indeed Russia.
And I'm not bashing communists but autocratic government ruled by a single power.
The classic example Is Egypt where they decreed their leader a god. But that was pretty standard practice for a lot of the area in the ancient Days in the East. While Rome had elections and when the Empire started and they declared themselves a god it was for the benefit of their Eastern provinces and they were roundly mocked for it at home.
Regardledd a one party kakistocracy, rule of the worst, will be a nightmare here in the United States. Given the Deep divisions and diversity of peoples here. And all the money and asseys to steal.
It will also bring a return to the 1980s style meddling in other governments. Supporting military coups and death squads in Latin America and elsewhere.
I could also point out that China is not actually communist. They are playing to the greed of Western capitalists to Garner our technology and get their factories built for them. Long term it's smart, it sucks for all of their workers though, and all of the pollution that is not well regulated.
Egypt was systematically exploited and destroyed by the European powers during their various reigns and colonization efforts of Northern Africa. If you aren't aware, a lot of these colonial ideals bled into indigenous ones. I am aware of Egypt...I am also sure you're aware of the connection of the divinity and head of state has in the West that Egypt was inspired by and the absolutism of late 17th-19th century Europe? Strange parallel there...mayhaps you give it more thought.
That has always been America. China is currently using it's resources and funds to develop and increase diplomatic ties with nations around the world while the Western IMF debt traps and exploits these nations for resources. Big difference.

You are absolutely correct. However you are also forgetting that they have plenty of their own indigenous achievements and designs too. You are also forgetting that they are the ones to have built those productive forces, the schools, the institutions all for the people to garner that technology and institute it for their own good. What has America done with that tech?

On what evidence? We are literally giving you direct evidence from the C.I.A that the Soviet Union had plenty of democratic conventions. The Soviet Union got ganged up on by all the capitalist countries because everyone was scared shitless of socialism, all the super rich made sure they were attacked in any way possible, at one point they were fighting on 17 different fronts with the largest standing army the world has ever seen.
All of those attacks I believe led to their army gaming an outsized power that allowed them to seize control with a strong man and turning the government against what it should have been.
Stalin was a monster by all accounts. Maybe if Lennon or Trotsky were leading things it could have been different. Trotsky who got ice picked in the head by an assassin in Mexico City at a speech he was giving, by stalin's agent.
As to the Democratic conventions, it was all fixed. There was some degree of voting at the beginning right after the revolution, the Bolsheviks got elected and then they got voted out the next Congress or whatever they called it and they kept power. Very few if any of their elections were honest to my knowledge.

I'm not, because you have ignored all evidence that the Soviet Union and China actually have democratic conventions. There is other parties than the CPC, eight smaller ones actually. Provincial elections are held to determine the best candidates based on their skill and ability to serve the people, rather than what color and policies they back. Someone linked you a direct video of this, do you want more information on it, or are you content to believe that the East has no democratic conventions whatsoever?
Yup. Funny enough, citizens in the Soviet Union had a better diet and caloric intake at the peak under Stalin than the United States. The Soviet Union and China also have a higher home ownership rate as well as a lower homelessness and poverty level.
