And then they obviously forgot that immediately, whether for emotional convenience or detachment from their species. Which is pretty bad, it’s a bad look, but it’s a more charitable assumption than the alternative: that they never once saw their humanity, that they had nothing to forget, and this snippet is an indicator of their entire person. Damn that would be rough if that were true. Not like the bourgeoisie have a track record of doing exactly that.
