I get it and neither of you are wrong but given the choice between keep doing your job vs. don't do it and suddenly give up a cushy retirement I feel like the scale skews heavily towars the latter. Now there's ample reason to get mad at this but this is why I propose an exit program - works along the same lines as any other of those.
I suppose that would be installing those same cushy retirements for everyone, provided by the state
