Perhaps Iโ€™m misunderstanding something somewhere. The original post seems to be saying, โ€œdonโ€™t assume just because we support buying European we support Israel/Zionismโ€.

Movements that lean towards buying local often have a political leaning as well, I know thatโ€™s often the case in the US anyway that they lean right-wing (but not always like many union workers who support buying domestically but lean left).

I think the post is, โ€œyeah we support X movement but we also support Y. Donโ€™t assume youโ€™re welcome here with that bullshit.โ€ Which weโ€™re on Lemmy, so it makes perfect sense a โ€œbuy localโ€ movement would not support Zionism and modern settler colonialism.
