Hi!

First, I'd like to apologize for asking the age-old question yet again.

I'm running Bazzite right now with a 50-series nvidia, and have no real complaints. I did manage to bork up coolercontrol pretty nicely, though, and am going to use it as an excuse to try another distro (and update my m.2 while I'm at it).

My knowledge level is not terrible, but I prefer spending more time gaming than tweaking.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

It doesn't have to be immutable - if it breaks I'll just start over. Its a gaming rig, no productivity.

It doesn't have to be a gaming distro, but it will be used (almost) exclusively for gaming.

What I like/liked about bazzite is it recognized my GPU (and everything else) and I could hit the floor running.

zorin should recognize the gpu and ask if you want to use the proprietary nvidia driver. If you install proton afterwards it should work out for gaming but I don't use it for that and as I said its more about stability and out of the box than bleeding edge or best performance. I can't really say how it will be for gaming. Funny thing is my intention going forward is to paly around with bazzite and appimage as a way forward. mostly because I like the immutable thing.
