You gotta admit, that kind of attendance is pretty unheard of. Everyone would have taken at least a few days of in a typical year.
Tbh there are times when he probably SHOULD have taken time off. It's certainly an achievement, but he probably sacrificed his health and that of those around him to get there.
lol never knew anyone working minimum wage in the us?
the flu can have your ass fired
I live in a country with decent workers rights. I forget that America is a crap hole sometimes.
that is fair, i know in many places fast food can still be a real job
in the us it is fucking slavery with extra steps and government subsidization
Uh, no? I've worked some shit jobs, and none that would fire you for getting sick, not for a few days. Even Lowe's chained your sick days together. Sick one day? Sick for 5 days? All the same.
Not that we got paid, but we wouldn't get fired. If your job is that shit, another awaits.
if only it was always that easy
it takes some shot decisions or bad luck to get to the point but plenty of Americans cannot afford to lose that minimum wage job
Exactly, hence I don't really consider it an achievement. An unnecessary sacrifice at best.
he’s working fast food in the us, are you living under a rock?
I'm in the lucky position to live as far away from the US as humanly possible, but I still fail to see how that's an achievement.
Based on the three sentences you've said and your background, it's because you choose not to, because you have the luxury to not think about real world problems.
Do you actually want to talk with people about this or do you just want to flaunt your privilege like an asshole?
because you don’t get how bad the us is atm (since the early 2000s really)
