It's fucking impossible to "become a redditor" these days. You can't fucking post on literally any subreddit with a new account. Every single subreddit automoderator filters out new accounts, and automoderator filters out low karma accounts. You can't earn any to become an account that can post. It's completely shit. They are killing their own site by making it impossible for new users to participate.

It is harder to post on reddit with a new account than it is to post on Hexbear with a new account. The new account can't see it, but all its comments are being filtered.

Smaller active subreddits are likely to approve your stuff if they have filters at all. That kind of filter is mostly a problem of scale on the subreddits that have like a million subscribers
