Quantum computing. But much as “AI” wasn’t so much AI as advanced auto suggest, it won’t be actual quantum computing but just some unnecessarily convoluted probability computations.

I threaten the computer with physical violence. It works well.

I might just not know what I'm talking about, but I have no earthly idea how that would work. Shor's algorithm seems like the most useful prospect of quantum computing, but it and many other quantum algorithms only work well with actual qubits; using a silicon computer for those algorithms is like smashing a drill into a screw to get it into a wall. Quantum simulators exist, but their only use right now is for developing algorithms and code when you can't get compute time and fully test systems.
