If you find an injured owl:

Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.

Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.

Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.

If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

I've been taking care of this Screech for a while now and got some good pics of it.

When I was grabbing new food for everyone in the outdoor pens, the rehabber said it was ready to leave and asked if I wanted to release it at home!

I'm waiting for my girlfriend to get home and then we'll let it go, I hope it likes the neighborhood!

That is from one of the recent Alien movies? I haven't seen that one yet.

Nah, i just came up with it.

You mean the recent Alien series, Alien:Earth? I watched the first 2 episodes and liked it pretty much.

Especially the new Alien species are very scary, squishy and blood thirsty.

A guy at work was telling me to check out the new series. I had heard of that either.

I searched Rook Ash in case it was a reference I didn't get (there are many!) and in Alien: Romulus, they meet an android named Rook who resembles the android Ash from the original Alien movie. So Rook/Ash are the same model android from my quick skimming.

I found this long article on the combo of practical and vfx needed to make Rook, as the actor died in 2020 and they didn't have any molds of him, everything was lost or destroyed.
