Nah you're right. I miss stuff like Neopets, Habo Hotel. Heck even miss the RvB rooster teeth MySpace copycat forums, lots of gamer centric discussions well before the alt right fully moved into gamer and geek spaces and shit all over it. Even stuff like MMOs had a lot of actual social interaction which isn't really there anymore, most MMOs being more solo experiences with force multiplayer aspects that suck or have minimal willing participants. I miss hanging out around Ironforge. Heck even still resilient spaces like FFXIV seem distinctly different compared to the previous FFXI mmo. There's also such a prevalence of some form of AI trying to market shit to you or botting within social spaces and online games that it has also left it overall dead and defunct.
