This is as good a place as any… Someone dear to me is upset about ICE and genocide and has been seeing a lot of stuff about filing exempt on taxes and withholding money funding these horrors. I fully sympathize with the intent but worry it will only end up harming this person. I haven’t been able to reach them with this concern. Any hexagonal wisdom?

Hope zero-sided (null-ogonal?) wisdom might be welcome, but remind them that taxation is damn near the basis of legal person-hood, in this system. It is a fundamental legal thing at the root of what we all "agree to" by living in <INSERT_HERE>.

Feeling spiritually wrecked by the way the money is being spent is super understandable, but then again, the money is also literally made by the structure doing the spending.

Finally, Al Capone and other untouchables have often been brought to bear by tax law violations. It's no joke, of all laws to break, in some ways it's the riskiest.

But overall, the consequences of the money spent are no more that person's responsibility than the basic facts of how we have things set up (fucked up).
