Steven Seagal playing Wesley McClaren, a doctor and former government research immunologist in this masterpiece:

Imagine trying to rent a mediocre Gibson movie and accidentally getting a shitty Seagal movie instead!

You didn't like it? I thought it was really good.

I hated all the white washing Mel does though....

[–] tallricefarmer@sopuli.xyz 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Like an 18th century southern planter with freemen africans working his farm. Sure ok Mel

[–] beejboytyson@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Or that he was a steward for first nations? Ya I found out about that man

I need my money back for the rental plus $100k for having you do that to me! Lmao!

I wonder if space ice had reviewed it

To be fair, he's just as unbelievable playing anyone with an average IQ.

He's doing some some serious science in that one for about 1:30 minutes. A rare cerebral moment in his filmography: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pueLyUlJFTc&t=4023

As a microbiologist, I can confirm much of my job has been staring at and gently fingering chemistry glassware diagrams.

Oof, this was extremely painful to watch. I hadn't seen this actor actually acting in anything before and didn't realize how bad he was...

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

And you still haven't seen him acting.

Steven Seagal in ANY MOVIE! Horrible actor and he’s even a “master in martial arts” and still is horrible and a laughable actor in movies trying to “showcase” his talent. Haha!

Anyone remember, “Belly of the Beast” hahaha. (BTW he wrote it!) it’s embarrassing!
