Like idk who to blame here, is it that people are so hollowed out by capitalism and so alienated they can no longer form bonds with one another, or is the allure of the magic thinking box that sexy that it can replace real people???
My partner just went to visit their parents, two highly educated wealthy professionals in technically complex fields. They apparently spent most of the time they were all together generating jokes and quips with AI and sharing them, this is apparently their way of spending time with family now.
Lmao boomers never fail to get themselves involved in the worst aspects of online content. As if the minions memes and Qanon posting weren’t bad enough.

A couple I know on failbook, guy was a friend briefly in high school, have ChatGPT roast photos of them together and then post it on FB as a light-hearted husband wife activity
I think because of the former the latter just needs to be “sexy enough” and the bar for that is pretty low in these conditions.
I don't think it is a sex thing. I think it mostly is the emotial validation part. Dating Sims are tradionally for the ladies this is an infinite talking stage in your pocket.
