I normally let my ADHD get the best of me and skip the introductory fluff of books, but if you're reading this one, definitely don't skip the forwards and introductions. It's a lot of extra work, but it's worth it.

Is the translator actually sympathetic to Marxism?

I would assume, given the undertaking, but you never know.

I have a copy where the author just talks about how "most of marx's theories have proven until but it's still good to learn about them since they are influential" or something along those lines

Yeah, seems like "untrue" is the likely the word they meant but maybe got autocorrected into "until".

I think the translator is; he mentions in his own foreword that comes after this one that he was a student of Marx before he started learning German.
