With Lemm.ee shutting down at the end of the month, many are searching for a new instance to join.

A Lemmy alternative that also uses the ActivityPub protocol is PieFed: https://join.piefed.social/

I'm (obviously) trying it out and it seems great so far but app support is low (only Interstellar right now).

+1. Only reason I still haven't fully changed is that I'm hoping for Boost support
