Thanks to the commenter who reminded me that it's not bad to be reminded that the term is only a pejorative because conservative racists made it so.

english as a second language tend to be more careful with their usage of idioms

Man, fuck english idioms. Will never get over how "that's shit" = bad but "that's the shit" = good
