Uhh, they should have covered this in school even if your parents neglected to do so, but here you go.

They're saying snakes do not have diaphragms.

Ed: it's their own alt, they could have just said that and not reveled in the drama they caused but whatever.

Access mostly relates to socioeconomic factors, but you’re largely correct. Use is notably higher in more affluent areas, but snakes are largely homeless and unsupported through reproductive legislation so that rarely matters.

These snakes both lay and eat eggs, so they can get abortion with breakfast.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

I think I’ll leave the snake jokes to you. That was really good

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

The fuck are you talking about.

[–] TheDoozer@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Diaphragms are a form of birth control. They are making a joke by deliberating misinterpreting the specific meaning of the word used in an absurdist way, in the Mad Hatter style.

@TheDoozer@lemmy.world

youre kind for providing the explanation. been laughing my head off over this conversation.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago (7 children)

Yeah we all get that, we don't get why they felt the necessity to set it up by being rude to a random.

It seems like a bad attempt to cover-up a mistake but whatever.

[–] littletoolshed@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I definitely did not think they were being rude, and thought their reply was hilarious.

Sometimes I reply with these bland and lifeless replies, knowing full goddamn well what the OP is saying, just to get the conversation juices flowing. This one went great till I noticed all the downvotes 😵

Wtf, dude, I fucking lol’d at your joke, and I’m just floored at all the subsequent downvotes. I’m so sorry, I really only meant to trigger a fun conversation but something else happened… 🤷‍♂️😅

You did nothing wrong! And you did, for better or worse. I still had fun learning about lemmy’s perception of irony. ~~Actually, I wanted to know whether you had some specific way of filtering out AI anatomical images? My top 200 images are all AI or unrelated and it makes me sad.~~ I misremembered who replied first. My b. Disregard. Unless…?
