Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank have beaten to death a United States citizen in his early 20s, the victim’s family members and rights groups have said.

“We are aware of reports of the death of a US citizen in the West Bank,” Reuters reported a State Department spokesperson as saying. The official declined to comment further “out of respect for the privacy of the family and loved ones” of the reported victim.

That’s it? “We’re aware”? We do a prisoner swap with Russia and release a notorious arms smuggler, just to get back a weed smuggling basketball player. But when our “good buddy” Israel literally murders one of our citizens, we’re just “aware”?

"We are aware they own us and tell us what to do. In other news, spread your cheeks because here comes some heavily uncircumcised dick!!!"

Wrong person to insult. But you are right in the sentiment, that's it? I would at least stop the supply of weapons for a few weeks so when they burn thru their current pile after evaporating thousands more kids and women (because screw men when it comes to pain due to dying), maybe they'll stop and wonder where they can get more before someone gets pissed off.

I got no Camel in that rat race, I just hope those who want war can get as much of the action as possible. Meanwhile, I wish the rest of us could be as war free as possible. Maybe they can create some remote island by dropping cars packed with dirt, rocks and plastic. Then anyone who wants war can just go there and fight other bright like minded fellows.

The Canadian government is aware that a Canadian citizen died in ICE custody.

What are we supposed to do?

Launch an invasion to free our people from the terrorist American regime?

"launch an invasion"

You always jump to extremes when making decisions?

Here's the official statement from the US government: they are actively investigating it: https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/canadian-national-ice-custody-passes-away

And the embassador tweeted: My team is following the death of a Canadian citizen while in @ICEgov custody. We will keep the Canadian government informed as ICE completes its investigation. I trust in ICE's commitment to transparency and to providing a safe environment for all individuals in its care.

Do you find as Israeli government page saying we're investigating it? Not they I think ICE or Israel would investigate themselves properly, but at least they still put up the facade that diplomacy matters.

Did US media create a touching profile for the victim?

The US is funding and backing a genocide of Palestinians by Israel, and Israeli settlers murdering Palestinians is perfectly acceptable and happens every day. You'd think it would be different if it's a US citizen, but it's not, if you are killed by Israelis as a Palestinian or as a citizen of the US or its allies standing up for Palestinians, they treat you with the same contempt.

The world needs to move away from the petrodollar as one. Watch their psycho terrorist nation crumble, they've got nothing. Even their military fucking sucks, look at Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq. They can't even win wars against nations of rice farmers and goat herders, they need a fucking beatdown, and they're down and weak.

Fucking invade and break it up. They have gone off the fucking rails, they're not of sound mind, they need someone to come in and just force them into democracy. They won't do it themselves. They're just rabid dogs anyway.

The Canaidan died in ICE custody two days before the statement you just linked to was released.

Note we are currently two days after the death of Sayafollah Musallet so it's a little premature to be screaming about a lack of a press release.

The profile of Johnny Noviello on the CBC came out four days after his death. So definitely premature for you to be upset about not finding a profile Sayafollah Musallet two days after his death.

It's been two weeks and I can't find any report from ICE on the cause of death for Johnny Noviello.

The reporting on the Sayafollah Musallet story is currently spotty. The incident just happened on Friday, it was a riot so a messy thing to investigate. There is reporting that the riot was started by Palestinians throwing rocks, and I've seen reporting that three Israelis have been arrested. These are unconfirmed reports though. The incident is being investigated according to Reuters. From what reporting there is, it does seem like they're taking it seriously and it will be investigated and arrests made (if they haven't been already).

This is one of those stories you should follow up on if you actually care about Sayafollah Musallet. Propganda can go around the world before the truth puts its pants on, but if you actually care about a story to know the truth of it, you'll probably need to follow up on it a little more than two days after shit went down so investigations can happen, arrests made, reporters can confirm sources, etc.

Also it may shock you to learn American citizens do get killed over seas fairly regularly. What do you suppose the US government does immediately after those incidents? Usually nothing, if a reporter asks, they say something like "we're aware of the situation". You just have a greater concern for this particular region of the world than for others for some reason.
