Half of me thinks this should be totally normal and our aversion to nudity is rooted in puritanical nonsense. The other half of me thinks these dudes are basically sexually assaulting people.
Eh I wouldn't go that far. None of them were shoving it in my face. Even the guy talking to me. It's pretty easy to avoid looking at their hairy balls if you're dedicated to it.
So the reason I think that is because I'm certain a non-zero amount are doing it intentionally. I'm certain of this because so many men send unsolicited dick pics that I can't imagine there isn't overlap here. They know they can get in trouble if it's too overt, but at least some of them know they're making people uncomfortable and they like that shit.
If that was the plan hanging out in a space dedicated to facilitating male nudity doesn't seem like the way to go. It seems to me that you're uncomfortable with male nudity and is projecting evil intention on to a thing that is entirely natural. A person in a space in which nudity is not only acceptable but expected is not engaging in a sex crime by being nude, and if you don't want to see genitalia don't look.
I mean, I think I explained my position pretty clearly if you read both of my comments. I don't have a problem with male nudity (or any nudity), I just know that many people use their own nudity as a weapon against others (in countries where it is taboo). I know this because I've seen them do it with my own eyes, I've had them do it to me, I've heard them brag about it, etc.
Simply because it is appropriate in a given setting doesn't mean people cannot have ill intentions. A space where it is expected sounds like the perfect place to do it without consequences. But seriously, if you have never known a male to show their genitals to others intentionally in a locker room then you just aren't paying attention or you've never been in a men's locker room.
I'm also obviously not saying every single man or even most of them are doing this. I very clearly said it's just non-zero. You're welcome to disagree, but suggesting that I'm projecting and telling me how I feel is not welcome. I literally even said it's coming from a puritanical place, I can't figure out why you'd even suggest this.
Edit: You know what, no. I'm not gonna have this discussion.
I'm not expressing faux outrage, I'm not even trying to express real outrage. I suggest you look up what projecting means if you don't think telling someone they are projecting is telling them how they feel.
Sorry, I don't really want to have this conversation with you anymore.
