Fuck purity. Be a hypocrite. Buy sharpies and poster board from Amazon and then go protest Jeff Bezos’ next dick rocket. Do what it takes to get your message out there.

Don’t put yourself at a disadvantage just to keep your halo. There are plenty of people out there being ideologically consistent. You never hear about them, because that gets you nowhere.

This is kind of where I'm at. I could buy a US made shotgun for 2-3x a foreign one, or I could buy the foreign one which is just as effective against billionaires and use the saved money to help my community more.

I get what you’re saying and I agree. The problem I have here is that the source of message in the image is only available in one walled off garden, run by a billionaire Nazi. The blue check advertises that platform and even though this is not a direct link it does direct traffic there.

You don’t advertise where you bought your sharpies and poster board from when you make your sign for the protest.

By that logic though, one could just as easily say that she should simply run under a bigger party's ticket that is likelier to win elections.

Nobody's perfect, but this is one of those things that is both easy to do and has a correct answer, like returning shopping carts. Twitter is a Nazi bar, no sane person should use it, and the only thing her presence is doing over there is giving the Nazis a more visible boogeyman to rally against. I'd honestly believe more of her supporters are here on Lemmy than over there.

I'm more partial to the "by any means necessary" approach. The current liberal/social democratic parties aren't in it to win it.

I believe it's going to take a force that is willing to use all its political and economic advantages to leverage history in favor of progress.

So like Bernie tried to do?
