When you talk about going abroad, have you checked if the destined country recognizes that certificate and you could make a living with it?
I was looking at Spain, Portugal, and France. I know they have government programs where they can pay for some necessities in exchange for teaching, but the pay is low, which means you have to take on extra work. As long as I have a bachelor's degree and a legit TEFL certificate, I should be good to go.
Sounds fascinating and adventurous. I wish you great success!
