Please please please revitalize the RTS genre

I feel like RTS games would be perfect for Tablets with proper touch input. Make the gameplay loop good and the UI easy to use with touch and I'd be playing way more than I would sitting at my PC.

Touch is garbage tier input for precision and speed. Making a Touch friendly game would require a massively simplified game, more so than consoles.

Not everything has to be competition level gameplay…

Even without competition, touch based isn't capable of cross play, it's farther apart than mouse and keyboard vs controller for FPS.

Well, someone already made Kingdom Rush. But we can all pretend that the British TV show "Time Commanders" would have been a great idea for table RTS controls.

I think they have the right idea, by focusing on social aspects and making campaigns/co-op first class features, not just 1v1 ranked matches.

Can I get a short review of this? Looks interesting and I've been itching for something like this.

Open Source/Community made/Free.
Total Annihilation remake - though today it's definitely more then just a remake.

Thank you! That's all I needed.

My favorite genre. I feel like we've seen a resurgence of every other genre. Bring on the RTS games. I would do terrible things for Warcraft 4. I will definitely check this out.

Ed Del Castillo keeps trying.
And some day, by god... He's gonna make it.
