So you want them to get more extreme?
No, they have to move to the center.
The centre is left of the Dems.
Source? As everything I saw showed him cracking down hard on immigrants just as hard as Trump.
That's a violation of international law... That's very far from centrist.
And Dems would have to move left to reach that.

Gallego’s plan would raise the standard to obtain asylum protections — which is something also sought by Republicans, who argue the protections should be harder to gain.
I do remember the Republicans accusing Biden of being weak on immigrants, but that doesn't' change the fact that he wasn't. Turns out the Republicans are willing to lie. If we took they're word for it, the Democrats are to the left of Karl Marx and also literally eat babies.
