Dishes get cleaned but might sit around for a day.

I disagree with this somewhat, the only dishes that are acceptable to leave out are mugs you've forgotten about/will use later ๐Ÿ˜ค

Dishes

I pretty much don't do dishes until I need something currently dirty and in the sink. If I had a dishwasher I could rinse and stack them right away but I gotta hand wash everything which is ugh.

The dishwasher is simply where the clean dishes are stored until the sink fills up with dirty dishes
