Of all the people who should understand the law. Jesus. They don't hand out FFLs like fucking candy.

Tell you what my right-wing conceal-carry instructor told us (paraphrased), "You better make damned sure you are in fear of your life and weigh that against 20-to-life in a concrete and steel cage, because that might well be the outcome, even if you were justified."

I could have "stood my ground" and smoked my MAGA neighbor the other night. He came stomping down to my house to kick my ass. Sounds good on paper, but money says I'd be in a cell right now praying the case goes my way.
