What is there to gain from doing this? repairs and possible tows would be even worse if its from an environmental standpoint. Also driving old cars to death is better for the environment than transitioning to new vehicles just because. Reduce and reuse is true for cars too.

I know you probably didn't intend to carry water for the fascists, but I think it's important to clearly state what's actually happening so nobody has an excuse not to be aware of how tyrannical the situation is.
