Automakers and tech developers testing and deploying self-driving and advanced driver assistance features will no longer have to report as much detailed, public crash information to the federal government, according to a new framework released today by the US Department of Transportation.

So you're saying that a corrupt man in power uses that power to benefit himself at the expense of the public, but it's not corruption, because additional parties also happen to benefit?

of course you didnt. that's why the misunderstanding comes in. I just wonder what you're implying with that comment... the interpretation i gave above is the first thing that comes to mind. like, so what if the author didn't consider that, what changes?

Fair question! I'm not sure if there are any other industry figures holding major positions in the federal government but that would definitely be worth discussing if it isn't just Elon

I'm sure that they're just as shitty and more concerned with profits than safety, just like Tesla. When you don't punish companies and ceo's like you would a homeless person, or teacher, or doctor, or police officer, or fireman, then they have no incentive to do anything other than profit at the expense of society.
