For the people who were using FREENOW (originally from Germany), I just received a notification on the app saying it is now being acquired by Lyft, an American company.

Just thought I'd share it here.

Edit: If you're planning to delete your account, see the comment by Alaknar on making a GDPR request. It's quick and easy to do.

@Pirata Thought of starting to use Freenow as well. It sucks that this was the way to make room for Lyft in Europe...

I'll still rely on public transit fwiw. Had some poor experience lately that made me reconsider using this type of service at all...
