I hope his retracting tariffs on everyone but China doesn't reverse that trend though.
I'm feeling pessimistic that he'll actually end up isolating China this way.
Nah, it can't happen because China is a bigger trading partner for most countries and China produces physical things people need to live. If the choice is going to be between US and China, most countries will have to go with China or their domestic economy will collapse.
I don't think it has any chance of reversing. The US has been an increasingly terrible trading partner for a while, and has kept taking actions that discourage more and more countries from using the dollar/swift system or increasing business with the US. US trade and foreign investment collapse was going to happen with or without tariffs, the tariffs are merely accelerating the process.
i dunno. watching the eu, australia, west asia drop their tariff responses along w latin american (out of fear of military intervention) makes me think that if china wins, it'll take alteast another century.
Tbh the EU has been gearing up for a pivot to China for a while now — Nord Stream was the point of no-return, and now the tarrifs are lighting a fire under the whole process
they canceled their tariff response and have blocked investigation into nord stream every step fo the way; how did you reach this conclusion?
US vs China trade war. Guess what, the US will lose like a lot
