It's nice that you're here be able to explain my sexuality to me, otherwise I might have persisted in bring mistaken. I'll hurry off and tell my wife and kids, they'll be so excited for me. I guess I'm having my mid life crisis earlier than scheduled. I'd better download some dating app and get myself a hairy boyfriend, stat.

I was making a joke about how common it is on 4chan and other forum platforms like this to say the gayest stuff and end with "am I gay?" :3

Not really, you were telling me directly that both my compliment and my sexuality were faked.

I'm not sure why you thought that came across as lighthearted, jovial and not directed at me personally when you opened with "That holds as much weight as".

Next time, if you want to make a joke, try to phrase your comment in a much less accusatory way. And maybe next time you get a sarcastic response, try apology instead of doubling down.
