Metal straws are kind of dangerous though right?
How would they be dangerous?
Some people have been injured or killed by falling on them, because it’s a rigid metal pole kept upright and by your head.
Not that like there’s a massive number of these cases, but it could rise if everyone uses them.
Idk. Just seems like going strawless is better.
Hmm. I don't know, I still like the metal straws. I always use them.
You can also get injured from a glass bottle, or even a glass straw, so it just takes caution. I normally do strawless now unless they offer metal straws, so I could do that but sometimes you do need a straw.
Well for one, they are lightning rods for TSA lawsuits. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2023/04/25/passenger-arrested-airport-vampire-straw/11737669002/
That's hilarious.
